PRIEST RIVER - West Bonner County School District drama coach Russ Bean announced that auditions for Off the Wall Drama’s production of Beauty and the Beast will take place Nov. 13-15. All WBCSD students and staff are invited to audition for roles and take part as crew. Auditions will be cold readings for the most part, said Bean.

The action begins Nov. 8 from 3:10-5:10 p.m. during Open Table Readings at the Priest River Junior High School auditorium. Bean said, “This is an optional activity that will give participants an early preview of the script. Scene cuttings, schedules, and applications will be available. Everyone welcome.”

Then on Nov. 13 from 3:10-5:10 p.m. Bean will host an Introduction to Musical Theatre Workshop at the PRJHS auditorium. “This optional activity will give participants an early look at some of the music and basic choreography,” said Bean. Everyone is welcome at this event.

On Nov. 17 from 3:10-5:10 p.m. volunteers will gather for a production meeting at the PRJHS auditorium. Bean said, “This is a meeting for volunteers and parents interested in supporting the production in a number of ways behind the scenes: set construction/painting, costuming, stage props, marketing, etc. Everyone is welcome, and drama students will provide activities/entertainment for children.”

Performances will take place at the PRJHS auditorium Feb. 16-17, 2018. The week prior will be dress rehearsal week, explained Bean.
