PRIEST RIVER — Did you know that part of 21st Century Community Learning Center’s mission is to provide adult education opportunities for community members?
In the past, 21st CCLC has offered everything from financial to parenting workshops as well as help navigating the federal application for student aid.
Now, the center has announced several upcoming adult education programs it’s offering to the community.
Do you have a desire to learn Microsoft Excel or some other computer software?
Are you interested in leadership development, customer service training, career guidance, or something more practical?
If you have any thoughts, program director Cherie C. Coldwell would love to hear from you.
“Remember, the 21st CCLC is a community learning center so I serve all members of the community, not just the students in the district,” she said in an email to the Daily Bee.
For parents of students enrolled in the 21st CCLC, the courses are completely free. For non-participants, there may be a fee depending on the course offered.
Upcoming events include:
• Wednesday, Feb. 21 — Parenting the Love and Logic Way: Since 1977, the Love and Logic Institute has been dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. All of the Love and Logic Institute’s work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic. This workshop will take place on the following Wednesdays: Feb. 21, Feb. 28, March 7, March 14, March 21, and March 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Priest River Elementary School.
